中國遭遇五十年以來最嚴重的雪災，全國過半省份受災，偏遠地區的特困農戶受影響至深，很多只能身披薄衣，在嚴寒下度歲。現時，災民急需禦寒物品以度嚴冬。

香港世界宣明會撥款增加至港幣200萬元，而宣明會救援隊伍亦已抵達重災區湖南、廣西、安徽及江西向當地災民派發40,000張棉被，以解他們燃眉之急。同時，宣明會亦計劃在貴州、陝西、廣西及江西等地協助災民重建民房和復耕，讓他們重拾生計。

Half of the provinces in China have been affected by the severest snowstorm in 50 years, in which impoverished families in the rural areas are hit hardest. Distressed villagers are now in urgent need of relief items to get through the bitter cold weather.

World Vision Hong Kong has increased the funding to HK$2 million, and our relief teams have reached Hunan, Guangxi, Anhui and Jiangxi to distribute 40,000 quilts to villagers to ease their desperate situation. Also, we will help villagers in Guizhou, Shaanxi, Guangxi and Jiangxi rehabilitate houses, and implement agricultural recovery programmes so that they can resume their normal livelihoods as early as possible.
